🔄 Text Reverser

Reverse the order of characters in any text. Type or paste, click reverse — done instantly in your browser, no upload.

About the Text Reverser

The text reverser flips the order of every character in your input, so the last character becomes the first and the first becomes the last. For example, Hello becomes olleH. The tool runs entirely in your browser, so nothing is uploaded and results appear instantly.

It works on any text — single words, sentences, paragraphs, or mixed scripts including emoji. Each Unicode code point is treated as one unit, so multi-byte characters like emoji and accented letters are reversed correctly rather than being broken apart.

How it works

  • The input is split into an array of Unicode code points using Array.from, which correctly handles surrogate pairs and astral characters.
  • The array is reversed and rejoined into a single string, preserving all original characters but in opposite order.
  • Whitespace and newlines are treated as regular characters and are also reversed in position.

How to use the reverser

  1. Paste or type your text in the input box.
  2. Click Reverse to flip the character order.
  3. The result appears in the output box.
  4. Click Copy to copy the result, or Clear to start over.

Frequently asked questions

Does this tool upload my text? No. All reversal happens locally in your browser. Your text never leaves your device.

Will emoji and special characters break? No. The tool uses Unicode-aware splitting, so emoji and astral-plane characters are reversed as whole units.

Does it reverse line-by-line or the whole text? The whole text is reversed as one string, including newlines. If you need per-line reversal, split lines yourself first.

Is there a length limit? The only limit is your browser's available memory. Even very long texts reverse instantly.
